Barcelona turns down offer for Fabregas

Man UTD’s improved bid to Barcelona for Fabregas has been turned down by the club. Barcelona further stated to Man UTD that this player is not for sale and that no future offers will be considered. It is rumored that the bid was near the £30 million mark and included add-ons.

David Moyes, the new man in charge at Man U stated that he must admit to being defeated in his attempt to get this player. When he was asked if he has now given up on obtaining the Fabregas he replied that when interested in such a good player you will work hard to try to being him to your club and that is my intent. I am hoping we can agree at some point down the road but it is unknown if that will prove to be a success or not. Ed Woodward is investing great amounts of time to put the right deals together and we are hopeful that some of those deals will be realised in the near furture.

Man U said that they had made an offer of £25 million for Fabregas last week and that Woodward was the man in charge of that offer. A second offer was also made but Barcelona was simply not interested at his time.
